Oxford D.Phil hood

Description

University of Oxford D.Phil hood featuring a scarlet Panama weave shell, lined dark blue satin.

The Oxford D.Phil hood is not traditionally worn with the gown at graduation time. Usually the hood is generally worn over a surplice in church.

The  neckband has a loop at the centre front, enabling the wearer to ‘anchor’ the hood in place, usually by looping the cord around a shirt button.

The hood shell and lining are high quality polyester. A wool and pure silk hood is also available. Price on request.
